POPIA Notice

This notice summarises how personal information is processed through the website at kovuna.com under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which contains the full detail.

1.Responsible party

The operator of this Website is the responsible party for personal information processed through it. The Information Officer can be contacted at hello@kovuna.com.

2.Information processed and purpose

We process the email address and role you provide when you join the waitlist or contact us, together with limited technical data needed to run and secure the Website. We use it to keep you informed about the launch of Kovuna, to respond to enquiries, to operate and secure the Website, and to meet legal obligations. We collect the minimum necessary and do not collect special personal information or account/identity details through this Website.

3.How information is collected

We collect information directly from you when you submit it, and automatically (in a limited way) from your browser when you visit the Website.

4.Recipients

Personal information may be shared with our hosting and operational service providers (under data-protection obligations), with eNL Mutual Bank as the intended product provider where relevant, and with authorities where required by law. It is not sold.

5.Cross-border transfers

Information may be processed by service providers outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure protection consistent with POPIA.

6.Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to be notified that information is collected, to access the information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. 7.Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards and keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or until you ask us to delete it, unless the law requires otherwise.
